Officially commissioned, as a cadet Officer.

58th Cadet Officer Course,

Well, pretty long three weeks had been spent
at Camp.
Its a day course, so booking in and out day
after day(excluding weekends = Holidays :D)

Enjoyed majority of the course,
learnt much 'leadership' <- action speaks louder than words. It was the last three days of the course that really became a nightmare. 3rd day to the end of course: The award winners, going for an interview. FYI: I wasn't one of the award recipients
It hurt knowing i wasn't one of them,
recovered. :/

2ND day to the end of course:

Announcing the confirmed award winners;
and better still my syndicate(platoon) encompassed two award
recipients. (1 overall best and 1 syndicate best)
Its like the aftershock of the first day, but far worst.
Just imagine someone stabbing you with a sword
on one fine day, and stabbing you once again
with a second sword on the following day at the initial
sword wound. Almost teared.

then on the same day itself, the platoon commanders for
passing out parade(POP in short) were so
called 'selected'. Syndicate best 'temporarily'
filling the post of Assistant platoon commander
and Course best filling the post of platoon commander.
I asked the syndicate best during rehearsals, which was
apparently holding on the post of the assistant platoon commander.

"Is this confirmed, as in the posts in the parade?"
"oh no, its not confirmed yet."

final day of course

There wasn't even a selection,
automatically the duo got the posts in the parade.
Rather pissed off, its like both of them already the award recipients,
could you just give a chance to those poor souls on the floor,
a chance to shine in front of their parents?

The other syndicates had their award recipients as just a
participant in the platoon itself, not holding onto any post
in the parade.
And the worst bit, i was positioned right behind her,
our very own syndicate best.

As the saying goes, winner takes all.
Thanks man.

Seriously, if i had a chance to drop out of the parade and could
still pass out, i wouldn't mind. Throughout the entire
rehearsal and even during the final parade,
i was really reluctant to even participate.
Standing behind her.
This marked my 3 mistakes in arm drills during rehearsal,
and this was what Warrant Teo commented( shouted):
"EH YOUR DRILL REALLY SUCK!"
"WHO IS YOUR INSTRUCTOR?"
Such ironic to see in my (NCC) mutual during sec 3:
'do not scold or humiliate any cadets in front of
the entire platoon/COMPANY.'

Sir Haikai, our syndicate platoon commander once said,
i don't want to see any politics, not in my 58, my platoon.

Its just not possible.
Try to empathize, feel what i feel, the pain worst than a literal wound.

Winner takes all.
The shirt arrives, PC Haikai:"wow nice shirt, thanks man Tian Kai"
"thanks Tian Kai"
FYI: Tian Kai(overall best)

Thanks man, the initial idea, of the repetitive helmets,
wasn't my design, really WASN'T. And WASN'T HAND DRAWN BY ME.
ALL 40 helmets. ALL yours Buddy.
Thanks man TK.

So what had i gain from the course?
What will you gain if you were in my shoes?

Really couldn't wait to end the final day of the course.
But of cause, the performance part was a blast,

enjoyed it the most amongst all other activities that day,
whether is it the dance by our syndicate, or by the other syndicates.

Head to facebook, type in the group 'ironhead'
and catch the video. :)

Well this hour spent typing the post,
and a really naggy one.
Time for bed, its like :O 3 A.M in the morning.
